I can’t stop thinking of the way Verity Burns read that line in “The Heart in the Whole” where John, lusting as ever, is thinking exasperatedly, “Did the man not even own a tie?!” Because really though. Really.

It’s Sherlock. He’s aware that John is examining him closely. He’s just blissfully unaware of certain sartorial conventions. It’s too warm for a sweater vest. And he’s too cool for ties. ;-)
The long dead, “Why didn’t I study art history?” part of me LOVES this. :)
