This exchange. UGH. THIS EXCHANGE. Overall, this sketch was pretty funny, yes. But there is no denying the sexism in it. This exchange fills me with rage. (the one about Amy getting her licence due to her skirt angers me a lot too).

It’s Amy’s fault? What? How? Sorry, but it’s Rory’s fault. Generally speaking, I do quite like Rory (he is far from being the OMG so perfect character some people in the fandom make him out to be, but he has some pretty awesome moments). Is Rory so completely weak and unable to control himself? HE looked up. HE dropped the whatever… It’s not like she was prancing about in sexy lingerie purposefully trying to distract him. She is wearing a skirt. And tights for goodness sake.

This just fuels the misconception that a woman wearing a skirt is asking to be harrassed, and poor weak men can do nothing other than leer, drool, comment and grope… Personally, I like wearing short skirts, and every single time I complain about being bothered, someone will bring up the fact that it’s normal because of what I am wearing. It’s NOT normal. I could rant forever about this, so I will stop now. But OMG RAGE every time I watch this.
